Don’t let some dick huddled up over his keyboard in his parents’ basement dictate what you pursue, what nutrition philosophies you follow, or even worse, how you live your life. Anyone who’s that interested in putting down what you do probably doesn’t have that much going on for themselves.

A yoga teacher once taught me “I am happy, because I am”. What do I mean by this?

Well during a meditation we were chanting Om Shakti Om, when she then asked us to focus our breathing; on the inhale think ‘I am happy’, exhale ‘because I am’.

I thought that was so beautiful and it has stuck with me since. It’s a way of saying, I don’t need a reason to be happy, I just am and accept I all of the beauty within it.

Biotin is a vitamin that’s essential for the functions of the intestines, metabolism and nervous system, according to the National Institutes of Health. The University of Maryland Medical Center says biotin is also called vitamin H, and can be found in foods including cooked eggs, nuts, soybeans and whole grains. Though biotin’s primary function is to convert carbohydrates into fuel for the body, the University of Maryland Medical Center says it has many other important uses. These other important uses include: managing neuropathy, help for diabetes, reduced cardiovascular disease and hair and nail improvement!Read more: http://www.livestrong.com/article/87333-uses-vitamin-biotin/#ixzz1p7FJPhSP

You guys! I ran 8 miles yesterday! This is the farthest I have ever run at once and I am so so proud!
The funny thing is that I wasn’t even dying after, so I know I’ll be able to go even further. This weekend will be a shorter run (3 miles) so I can rest up a little, and then my training plan has me running 9.5 miles next weekend. I know I can do it! A few months ago I never would have believed I could run this far. I’m so glad I pushed myself, it feels great!
On the minus side of things, I found out today that I missed the registration for the Disneyland Half Marathon this fall.  I was literally so upset about this that I cried for like an hour. But oh well, what can I do? I am definitely signing up for the Tinkerbell half marathon in January, and it the mean time I plan on running a few other half marathons over the summer and fall. So maybe by the time I run the Tinkerbell half at Disneyland I can actually get a decent time haha :)
